FAMI-QS CODE OF PRACTICE

The FAMI-QS Code of Practice provides requirements for implementing measures necessary to ensure feed safety and quality of products manufactured by processes. These requirements concern good manufacturing practices, the HACCP programme and suggestions on continuous improvements to the design, management of operations and risks with the goal of maintaining feed safety and quality.
The ultimate goal of this Code is to ensure feed safety by minimising unsafe practices and the risk of hazardous ingredients entering the food chain. Feed is considered unsafe if it is likely to pose a risk to (has adverse effect on) human or animal health, or if the food derived from food-producing animals is unsafe for human consumption.
Moellhausen got a certification, here attached, for the following area: Production and trade of specialty feed ingredients made by chemical and extraction processes. Category K, FI.

REGULATORY AFFAIRS: SAFETY AND HEALTH IN THE FOREGROUND

The Regulatory Affairs office—which today sees seven specialists engaged in the Italian headquarters—plays a vital role in verifying and assisting in compliance with industry regulations. Its role as an intermediary between authority requests and the needs of all the company’s functional areas allows it to align with current safety and health regulations.
The Regulatory Affairs office also works to support specific customer requests with a high level of autonomy and a high degree of responsibility. It involves several professional figures, starting with those operating in Research & Development and Production.
Efficient and competent in many complex national and international regulations concerning the most diverse product categories, the Regulatory Affairs office also contributes to simplifying and speeding up the development of supply projects.
