"Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest."
Mark Twain

Responsibility for global progress

Moellhausen is aware of its role: it is an industrial activity with economic, social, and environmental priorities.
That is why our business operates with a broad sense of responsibility towards our customers, the people that work with us, and the environment, which provides the raw materials we use.
Moellhausen’s commitment is global and uncompromising, with respect to human rights, as recognized by international institutions and conventions. We work within the framework outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations, the principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labor Organization (ILO) Conventions, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (i.e., OECD Principles of Corporate Governance). Moreover, we operate in compliance with sustainable development objectives, set forth as targets for the year 2030.

Fair and transparent contractual conditions

The Moellhausen culture is always customer-oriented, with the aim of creating partnerships that guarantees the highest satisfaction. To that end, we provide agile, transparent tools to address the needs of all our customers.
We provide our stakeholders information pertaining to every aspect of what we do.
We follow clear, fair, equitable rules in all interactions to develop trade optimally in a climate of fair competition.
In fact, all our contracts are governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless we have reached an alternative agreement, and only under exceptional conditions (i.e., when objectives or constraints are not covered by a standard or cannot be overcome).

Raw materials: Protection of the environment and local communities

Our natural raw materials come from every corner of the Globe, according to their geographic specificity.

In offering basic raw materials and compound specialties to the international market, we are committed to raising consumer awareness and promoting the unique characteristics of each ingredient.
In so doing, we contribute to protecting the diversity of the plant world and supporting weak local economies, while simultaneously ensuring maximum competitiveness and supply continuity to flavor and fragrance manufacturers.

Likewise, the non-natural raw materials we offer are also selected from diverse, global sources, according to the highest safety standards and sustainability criteria.

The ten essential principles

Now more than ever, the development of markets, technology, economics and finance, politics, and civilized society are becoming joint drivers of global progress and business interests. These joint endeavors demand an essential shared commitment.
In contributing to this progress, we intend to be fair and to uphold a common strategic objective. Thus, we ask our stakeholders to join us in endorsing the ten principles of the UN Global Compact.
